The Valerie, Ruth & Pamela Dudoward Foundation is an Indigenous registered charity and non-profit community organization. It provides crucial support and services to Indigenous youth at-risk; children, youth & families in transition homes or safe houses; Elders and intergenerational teachings of traditional knowledge and healing. Also included is a commitment to preserving and celebrating Indigenous culture and heritage through performing and literary arts, community events & gatherings to the community at large. The VRPDF does substantial outreach work to improve the health and well-being of Indigenous children, youth, families and Elders. The organization is community driven with no core funding. The charity has been volunteer operated since its inception in 2006, with focus direct to the client base representing the most vulnerable members of our Society. In addition to the expansive volunteer base, numerous long-term community partnerships provide integral support to the charity’s community initiatives and successes.
